Why a Valentine’s Day Tournament?

Valentine’s Day Doubles Tournament 2026 Poster

GoodBird.store is the first time I’ve had enough confidence in my own design work (after 20+ years at it) to advertise it as something that may be valuable to someone else. And because self-promotion gives me more nerves than throwing my favorite disc on Hole 2 at The Farm, I kept advertising to people I didn’t know because honestly, it felt easier.

This year, instead of taking the easy route and sending my advertising dollars to promote my work to people I don’t know, I am hosting the GoodBird.Store Valentine’s Day Doubles Disc Golf Tournament.

This tournament is my love letter to the local people who root for me and GoodBird.store, whether you bought something or simply didn’t roast me for wearing a glove on the course (not you Jake).

My hope is that the prizes for the winners will grow as GoodBird.Store grows and we can all have some fun and share the love of the sport and the community surrounding it on Valentine’s Day.

The Valentine’s Day Doubles Tournament is meant to be fun, mildly chaotic, potentially erotic (kidding, that was for you Bill 😉), and full of those warm-fuzzy “we’re all in this together” moments. Bring your wife, husband, your bestie, your bromance, or someone you met the day before tee-off. No ratings. No pressure, just the chance to win some of my advertising budget as a Thank You!  We created a custom layout at Twin Creeks, just for this event, to make sure the pressure is off teams with less experience.

And of course, last place wins a prize too. Because every good love letter written should get a happy ending.

Thank You!

Thank You!
