Capturing the Joy of Disc Golf
The GoodBird.Store Ladies of Northwest Arkansas
Seeing real women out on the course wearing the apparel that started as ideas, sketches and a lot of screen time on weekends, brings me a joy that is hard to put into words. Recently, GoodBird.store held their first product photoshoot in Emporia, Kansas alongside an incredible group of disc golfing ladies who brought so much energy, laughter, and fun to every moment on the course that it was hard to narrow down the 500+ photos to use on the store!
The ladies getting ready for the second round of photographs…
What made the experience even more special was having those moments captured so beautifully by photographer Thomas Felts. The photos weren’t just product photos; they captured the spirit of women’s disc golf, friendship, competition, confidence, and the simple joy of being outside throwing discs with people you love spending time with. Seeing GoodBird apparel worn by real disc golfers on the course was a reminder of why I started this adventure in the first place: to create ladies’ performance apparel that is distinctly disc golf, and that women actually feel-good wearing while representing the sport they love.
I’m so thankful to all of the amazing women who spent time on the course with me and helped create such memorable moments, and I especially want to thank Thomas Felts with Felts Photos for his incredible work behind the camera. If you’re ever in Emporia, Kansas and need a photographer who knows how to capture genuine moments and personalities, I highly recommend checking out his work.
Also, thanks to Champions Landing and the Emporia Parks and Recreation Department for their work on making the Peter Pan Disc Golf Course and the iconic Champions Landing Disc Golf Course fantastic backdrops for the photos!
